This course is designed for those who are interested in studying or general users to learn the principles of using MES Interface module devices as a medium to connect data from the Shop Floor area through QCPU PLC devices to the database to store the desired data. They can choose to store in various databases, such as Microsoft Access, SQL Server, or Oracle. This is to bring the data in the database back to analyze for planning production decisions with the goal of increasing efficiency, including improving production capacity. It can also plan the product life cycle, order and delivery operations, and increase OEE efficiency. The system will be more efficient when working with ERP management software.
In this course, trainees will learn the principles of data communication via PLC devices and MES Interface module to send the desired data to store in the MS Access database and how to set PLC parameters for use, including experimenting with writing programs for data communication, as well as learning the principles of checking the MES Interface module when abnormal conditions occur. In addition, trainees will learn the principles of creating various types of tables on the MS. Access database to communicate data with PLC devices.

1. Principles of linking PLC devices and MES interface modules
2. Principles of using Microsoft Access for creating tables on databases.
3. Using the MX MES Interface Configuration Tool for data communication settings
4. Data communication standard through ODBC connection
5. Using the function of reading / writing data between PLC devices and tables created on a database.
6. Principle of investigation for abnormal conditions in the MES Interface Module
Prerequisite
1. Have completed the ADVANCE PLC GX Work2 course or have knowledge of Data Register devices and can use GX Works2 software very well.
2. Basic skills in computer(IT) and English.
3. Have basic knowledge of MS. Access program.
